Trade Shows, Pandemic Style.
ReLink has been busy throughout January with internal business meetings. Those meetings are private corporate business, which we just cannot and would not discuss. During all this, we got the opportunity to help Abstract Displays record segments that will be used in their 3D Interactive Environments that are being utilized by companies attending virtual trade shows.
I am so impressed with the team at Abstract Displays. Trade shows came to a screeching halt, and they immediately started working on an alternative solution that allows the exhibitor to take control of the attendees experience within their own 3D environment. Please email Carla Eng at, firstname.lastname@example.org. to schedule a demo.
There is no denying that live trade shows will come back, and are a valuable touch point for so many companies. Abstract Displays is elevating the virtual trade show experience to new heights, and I believe that moving forward, the trade show world will offer a hybrid event, bringing both live and a virtual together.
Feel free to contact the team at Abstract Displays to reveal what they are working on, but their product is polished, engaging, and will be an effective portal allowing potential and current clients to explore their offerings. There are even little easter eggs hiding in the site which are delightful and unexpected. I thought these were memorable and fun, and excellent touches to humanize the experience.
With their environment developed and functioning, one of the final touches is to add a video of a human in the space welcoming viewers to explore. There are incredible technologies being invented right now in augmented reality and virtual reality, but one does not need to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to put a human on a virtual set. A simple green screen recording is still an effective means to create beautiful content.
ReLink is a good fit for this endeavor, because our ReLink Suite comes with everything needed to create the HD recording in front of a green screen. In mere moments, our kit was powered up, the green screen installed, and the teleprompter was routed to the screen above the camera. The camera operator, video engineer, lighting engineer, and audio engineer operated their equipment safely from their homes spread out around the country.
The presenters arrived, put the microphone on, and did their presentation without any unnecessary human contact, safely.
The video greeting is being inserted into the virtual trade floor environment that is being developed in post-production, and I am so excited to see the final product.
